Welcome to The Entre-Flâneur’s Guide to Business — slow observations that lead to better brands.

My name is Željka Zrnić — a brand and business consultant, design advisor, and curious observer in search of interesting patterns that link unusual stories with contemporary flows.

What is the Entre-fFlâneur?

The flâneur was a 19th-century figure — a curious urban wanderer who moved through the streets not to arrive anywhere, but simply to observe. Detached yet engaged, the flâneur absorbed the mood of the time by watching how people behaved, how spaces were used, and how the everyday unfolded. He wasn’t in a hurry — because meaning requires pause. Flâneurs observed in order to collect impressions that fueled their creative work — novels, poems, paintings.

The entre-flâneur builds on that spirit, combining it with an entrepreneurial mindset. Strolling through the contemporary streets of both the analogue and digital world, the entre-flâneur observes the spirit of the zeitgeist. Where the typical entrepreneur is focused on constant execution, the entre-flâneur steps back and notices before they act. Their task is to collect signals, patterns, behaviors, moods, and cultural shifts — not to chase trends, but to understand them. Curiosity is a method, and slowness is a strategy.

What can you expect from The Entre-Flâneur’s Guide to Business?

In a world obsessed with speed, growth, and short-term gains, this approach might seem counterintuitive. But nothing thoughtful, resonant, or truly original was ever crafted in a minute. Whether you’re building a brand, providing a service, creating content, or steering a business, the most valuable insights often come from zooming out — and taking the time to look again, from an external point of view. That’s how we make more informed decisions and find clarity in both strategy and storytelling.

This publication delivers monthly essays that connect everyday realities and peculiar curiosities with branding, business, and human behavior. It’s observational, metaphor-rich, and grounded in real-world thinking.

Who is it for?

It’s written for business and brand founders, creatives, consultants, marketers, and the quietly curious — anyone who wants to sharpen their perspective, slow down their thinking, and discover unexpected insight in the world around them.
